Language

• The official language is Dutch. The local language is Papiamentu, a form of Creole.
•  English and Spanish are also spoken.

• Windsurf at Lac Cai (Lak Bay)
• Kite surf off Atlantis beach
• Visit Washington Slagbaai National Park on the north side of the island. You’ll need a jeep for this.
• Take a short boat ride to Klein Bonaire, an uninhabited island surrounded by coral reef.
• Roll the dice at Bonaire’s casino.
• Visit Lake Goto at dusk to see the pink flamingos.
• See the small slave huts near pink beach.
• Kayak in the mangroves.
