Bermuda Tourist Information

Insurance

  • This is a no brainer. You should have insurance. The peace of mind is worth the small outlay, especially as Bermuda healthcare costs as much as in the US. We recommend WORLD NOMADS Insurance. You can buy, extend and claim online even after you've left home. Recommended by Lonely Planet, World Nomads travel insurance is available to people from over 150 countries and is designed for adventurous travellers with cover for overseas medical, evacuation, baggage and activities such as skiing and snowboarding.

Money

  • The Bermudian Dollar (BD$) is the local currency and is equal to the US$. The US$ is also accepted all over the Bermuda. If you are travelling with US$ you do not need to exchange them for US$.
  • There is no sales tax in Bermuda
  • ATM's are available all over Bermuda and often provide the best rate for exchanging currency.
