Money
- The official currency of Aruba is the Aruban florin, which is divided into 100 cents.
- U.S. and Canadian dollars are widely accepted in Aruba, and banks will exchange other foreign currency.
- Banks are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm except on public holidays. Some banks close for lunch (12noon-1.30pm).
- ATM machines are all over Aruba

- Email and internet facilities are available in most hotels.
- Aruba's International telephone country code is 297.
- The code for direct calls out of Aruba is 00 followed by the country code, area code and the number.
- For operator assistance call 121.
- The Central Post Office diagonally across from San Francisco Church in Oranjestad is open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am. to 4.30 pm. The Post office at the Royal Plaza Mall in Oranjestad is open Monday to Saturday 7 am to 6.45 pm.
Accommodation
- There are over 7,000 hotel rooms on Aruba from budget to luxury (but mostly luxury).
- There is an 11% service charge on room rates. Most hotels also apply a 6% government tax.
